Outbreak of Salmonella Newport

Whooping cough cases increase

Cases of whooping cough (pertussis) reported to the Health Protection Agency (HPA) in England and Wales have more than doubled from 421 cases in 2010 to 1040 in 2011. Increases in levels of whooping cough are seen every three to four years and figures in 2011 are in line with cases reported in the last peak year of 2008.

The Surgery is open 8.30 am to 6.30 pm from Monday to Friday

Appointments can be booked between 08:30 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 18:30.

There are variations in starting and finishing times between individual doctors and each doctor has a half day free each week.

If you wish to speak to a doctor personally please telephone the surgery around 11.30am and the receptionist will tell you when they are available. In some circumstances it may be appropriate for you to speak to the practice nurse. The nurse is usually available to give advice.

To make an appointment, telephone or call in at the surgery. The receptionist will try to make an appointment with your own doctor.

If URGENT you will be seen the same day. Please note that the reception is closed daily between 12 noon - 1.00pm for administrative purposes. From 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm Request and collection of prescriptions only.
