Dear Patient,

Important information regarding The Firs

We previously wrote to you to advising that the contract with the current provider of GP services at the Firs was due to expire. In this letter we advised that we would be re-procuring a new provider at the existing premises.

We are pleased to inform you that from 1 April 2024, the current management team from Addison Road Medical Practice will permanently remain in place.

Addison Road Medical Practice is a forward thinking and innovative Waltham Forest based GP practice that has embraced technology and workforce development to help deliver high quality primary care services.

Quick and efficient access to GP services, personalised care and continuity of care are key priorities for the practice. The practice has pushed the boundaries of what accessible and high-quality GP services looks like using AI powered technology, advanced telephony and a highly skilled and motivated workforce; aligned in its vision and working within a positive and compassionate culture.

The practice has forged strong working relationships with local stakeholders including the hospital, community services, social care, the council and the voluntary sector to offer all ages, proactive and co-ordinated multi-professional care. The practice has worked closely alongside its patient population to co-produce innovative solutions to its service design and delivery and has frequently engaged its patient population in community led health creation initiatives to tackle local health inequalities and support preventative care.

There will be no changes to your registration and all contact details for the practice will remain the same. Your medical records will remain at the practice and you will be able to receive services as usual from your current practice location. You will be able to receive the same services that you receive now.

The practice will be organising engagement sessions at the premises for patients to meet some of the new team, where you will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the proposed services that will be offered and how you can become involved in shaping future services provided from your surgery. This engagement event will be on: 21st March 2024. All patients will receive an online link on 20th March for this. We are also planning drop in sessions for patients who are able to join us online.

If at any time you wish to change your GP practice, you can find additional information about other local practices on the NHS Choices website www.nhs.uk. First check that you live within the registration area of your chosen practice and then ask its staff to support you through the registration process.

Yours sincerely,

Alison Goodlad
